Founded in 1975, the UMass Amherst Asian American Students Association's goal is to advocate unity among Asian and Asian Americans. In so doing, AASA promotes the views, voices, and experiences of Asian and Asian American students; it provides Asian and Asian American students with a concrete political, educational, and social foundation, and promotes the understanding and awareness of the Asian and Asian American cultures and its surrounding communities.
