Our priority is the satisfaction and enjoyment of our general body. Monthly social events, general body meetings, showcases and more - we exist to promote community.

What We Do.

General Body Meetings

Held once every month, GBMs are ways that AASA can further connect to our general body in discussion of a variety of topics relevant to the Asian and Asian American community. Themes vary from emerging pop culture to the different facets of advocacy and include many opportunities for member participation and/or expression.

GBEs are held a few times a semester and usually coincide with a specific theme or season. These events are ways that AASA hopes to further foster community on our campus. We strive to always create a welcoming, fun, and engaging environment for all.

Winter Ball

Hosted every Fall Semester, Winterball is a formal dance open to all students. We serve various Asian dishes and showcase student performers throughout the night.

One of the biggest cultural showcases at UMass, Asian Night celebrates Asian heritage and culture by hosting a variety of student performers alongside celebrities and important figures within the AAPI Community.
